Who we are

RetroBounce is an Android app provided by VEI Solutions. You can contact us at support@vei.solutions.

Summary

RetroBounce does not use its own backend server, does not require an account, and does not upload your custom logo images to us. The app uses Google Mobile Ads SDK to show ads, and Google may collect or share data as described below.

Information stored locally by RetroBounce

RetroBounce stores app settings on your device, such as selected language, visual presets, wait time, animation options, and whether the global idle overlay is enabled.

If you choose a custom logo image, RetroBounce copies that image into the app's private storage on your device so it can be used in the animation. RetroBounce does not send that image to a RetroBounce or VEI Solutions server.

Advertising

RetroBounce uses Google Mobile Ads SDK, also known as AdMob, to load and display ads. According to Google's documentation, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share data such as IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit.

Accessibility and overlay permissions

RetroBounce offers an optional global idle feature. If you enable it, Android may ask you to grant the app permission to display over other apps and to enable the RetroBounce inactivity accessibility service.

The accessibility service is used to detect interaction events, such as touches, clicks, scrolling, and window changes, so RetroBounce can reset its idle timer and decide when to show the animation. The service is not used to read screen text, retrieve window content, record audio, take screenshots, control other apps, or perform actions for you.

You can disable the accessibility service and overlay permission at any time in Android settings.

Other Android permissions

RetroBounce uses internet access to load Google Mobile Ads. If you enable the global idle feature, the app may also ask Android to ignore battery optimizations so the idle monitor can keep running reliably on supported devices.

Foreground service

When the global idle feature is enabled, RetroBounce may run a foreground service with a visible notification. This keeps the idle detection feature available while the app is not in the foreground.

Children

RetroBounce is not designed for or directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, contact us and we will help route the request appropriately.

Your choices

You can remove a custom logo inside the app, clear RetroBounce app storage in Android settings, reset or delete your Android advertising ID in Android privacy settings, disable optional permissions, or uninstall the app.

Retention

RetroBounce keeps local settings and custom logo images until you remove them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Because RetroBounce does not run its own backend, VEI Solutions does not keep a server-side user account or custom image database for the app.

Data deletion requests

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
